So a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle movie was announced. Here are my thoughts. Pretty self explanatory.

R.I.P. Wes Craven

This one hit me really close to home.  Sadly, famed filmmaker Wes Craven has passed away at the age of 76. He is known for creating such franchises as Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, and The Hills Have Eyes.

Rest in peace, Wes Craven.

The OTHER Upcoming Superhero Movies!

So, we all know about Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Deadpool, and all those other Marvel/DC films. But what about those other comic book movies? Huh… for once I’m not using the term “other comic book movies” to refer to 2005’s Man-Thing, the two 2000’s Punisher movies, the Daredevil movie, and the Elektra movie. And for all you DC fans here’s a super secret extra variant of that sentence: Supergirl, Steel, Catwoman, and Jonah Hex. No, I’m referring to the upcoming non-Marvel or DC superhero films, and my thoughts on them. Because pretty much every blog I do is my thoughts on some comic book movie stuff.

Captain America: Civil War News

So, this will be kind of a shout-out. YouTuber Mr Sunday Movies has uploaded a video today showing some art from Captain America: Civil War and confirming who will be on whose side. So, let’s look over this new information and I’ll share my thoughts on it. Because why not?

Fantastic Four Spoiler-Free Review

Ooooh, boy. I’ve been waiting for this one for some time now. How did I like it? Well, now that I’ve finally seen it, let me tell you. And, no, there’s no spoilers. Usually I do spoiler reviews, but that’s coming tomorrow, because I’ve got a lot to talk about spoiler-wise.

Star Wars Rogue One – My Thoughts

Guess what? Disney bought Star Wars. Did you know that? Probably not. It’s pretty new info. Anyway, not only are we getting this new Star Wars trilogy but we’re also getting a series of spin-off films, starting with Star Wars: Rogue One. Above is a new official photo of the film.

Dumbest Comic Book Retcons… Besides One More Day

I’m sure as comic fans we are all familiar with the term “retcon”. Basically, it’s a totally convoluted and out of nowhere change introduced at the last minute for the writer’s convenience. “I really want to write a story with this character but they turned out to be this character in disguise and they got killed… wait what if that was just his twin they killed!” “I really wish we could introduce more Kryptonians without having to write a whole other story about Jor-El sending someone else to Earth to keep Kal-El company… oh, what if Brainiac shrunk a Kryptonian city and put it in a bottle and Superman has that now and he can go in there and interact with Kryptonians!” That last one isn’t really a retcon, I guess… kind of. Anyway, if you know about retcons chances are you know about the notorious “One More Day”, in which Joe Quesada decided he didn’t like Peter Parker being married and decided to write some stupid story about Peter Parker selling his “love” to Mephisto in order to revive Aunt May, so now Peter Parker and Mary Jane never got married. No surprise, lots of fans didn’t like this. But everyone knows about that, here’s some equally stupid if not stupider retcons! And be warned, there will be spoilers. (I probably spoiled a few stories already…)

Workin’ Hard or Hardly Workin’… It’s the First One, By the Way

So, as you know, I haven’t really been doing much on this blog lately. But trust me, I have a lot of stuff in the works. One thing I’ll for sure get out hopefully tomorrow is a blog post about the worst retcons in comics, but I also have a few reviews. Not of the new Fantastic Four, because I haven’t seen it yet (I know, I know). Anyway, last time I made one of these update blogs I didn’t do any of the stuff I promised, but last time I was lacking inspiration and there wasn’t much I wanted to even write about back then. Post something soon anyway. I’ll try to get back to my two blogs a day schedule. It’s weird, a lot of blogs I used to like stopped writing posts frequently so I was all “man, I’ll do this blog everyday so I don’t keep people waiting”, but… yeah, now I understand how hard it is to write stuff sometimes. There’s so much stuff I got planned though, I just don’t really have the time yet. It’ll be out soon.
